My Story

I started out my career as an early childhood educator and then became a licensed clinical social worker. I worked with children and parents in many settings. During that process I became a Certified Early Intervention Specialist, Developmental Specialist, Infant Massage Instructor and more, all while continuing my education in mental health and play therapy.

I created my business Nurturing Parents and Teachers where I present trainings to parents and early childhood educators. I then added new mom, baby and toddler classes. Eventually I opened my private therapy practice working with children and parents. At this time I also began working with adults.

During this time I experienced life’s ups and down as all of us do. For me it was infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and the stressors of raising children. I had to work on myself and find coping skills. I used traditional mental health therapy at several points in my life and it always helped, but it was not until I discovered the combination of energy psychology, energy healing and reiki with the mental health therapies that I truly began to heal. I uncovered how my old programming from childhood was contributing to my reactions to present times. I needed to heal from what was happening to me both in the present and the past. I needed to approach my healing from a mind, body and soul level. Energy work and mental health therapy together healed me on levels I never knew were possible.

Because of my personal experience, I realized that traditional talk therapy with my clients was not moving the needle the way it could. I knew it was time to bring the holistic, energy healing side into my therapy practice and create a space where the energy work and therapy can happen in one place. I have been studying and getting certified in various modalities of energy psychology, Reiki, and energy healing ever since. I incorporate it into my many services and would love for you to learn more about each of them and discover which ones are right for you.

What It’s Like To Work With Me

I meet you exactly where you are and walk to where you want to be. I understand that every situation has its own unique circumstances and that there is no ‘cookie cutter’ approach. Children, parents, teachers and adults all have their own temperaments, styles, personalities, and histories. Everyone has their own unique strengths and needs. What works for one family may not work for another and what is best for one individual is not necessarily the best approach for another.

Whether your services are provided 1:1, workshop or group setting I consider every question and need through a detailed process of thought, intuition and experience. I use an integration of techniques that stem from many psychotherapy modalities, energy psychology, play therapy, reiki, energy healing, intuition, child development and more. I use a personal approach to every single client that comes my way, and therefore each session or class looks and feels slightly different based on what is needed at the moment.
